Danni Hero is the story of 15-year old teenager Danni McIntyre.

Danni lives with her mum, Sheila. But where Danni truly lives is in her head – in a wonderful, colourful fantasy world where she is a powerful superhero sent to Earth from space to defend the human race and fight for all that is true and just.  The schoolgirl that everyone sees each day, lost in her own little world of comic books and stories, is a brilliant disguise to protect her secret identity! Danni struggles on until the moment when she finds the strength inside herself to face a real threat in the real world – and save her community and the people closest to her.

Danni Hero was the result of a co-commission between Perfect Pitch and Made In Corby. Following a year long partnership with key stakeholders in the town of Corby, one of the places in the UK identified as having least engagement with the arts, Danni Hero was selected by the local community from five ‘pitches’ as the show the community would like to work with us to make.

Over the following twelve months, Perfect Pitch worked with the Authors and the local creative artists to create the World Premiere amateur production of Danni Hero. Under the additional guidance of professional mentors from several West End productions, and in partnership with Corby Amateur Theatre Society, Danni Hero opened at the Core Theatre at Corby Cube in October 2016.
